A
Crusade Against ISLAM?
ITG look into
The Campaign to
Subvert
Islam as an Ideology and a System
During the past few weeks,
the Western governments have been conducting
a relentless and ruthless campaign against Islam
and Muslims. This campaign has taken on many
forms, the military side being the most overt.
However, there has been an equally
fierce campaign, waged by Western
governments, institutions and indeed some Western
inspired Muslim scholars and intellectuals,
aimed at subverting Islam, changing it, covering
up its ayats, diluting it and repackaging it
as a foreign religion palatable to Western tastes.
US President George W.
Bush initiated this campaign when he declared
his 'Crusade' against
Islam and Muslims and the Muslims were confronted
by two choices - either
join the Western Crusade aimed at subverting
Islam or be thrown into the camp of the 'terrorist'.
In this present climate we have observed many
manoeuvres undertaken by the Kuffar, and have
witnessed the key events in this campaign to subvert
Islam, and have noted that this campaign has not
been accepted by most of the Muslims in the West.
Rather, some from amongst the Muslims, who have
become weak and lost their convictions in this
Deen have been prepared to provide their services
to the West in order to secure some petty interests.
The campaign to subvert Islam as an ideology
and a system has not gone unnoticed by the aware
Muslims. Consequently, we take it upon ourselves,
due to the obligation Allah (swt) has placed upon
our necks and the necks of all Muslims to speak
the Haq (truth), to present to the Muslims the
following points:
| 1. |
Islam
is the Deen of Haq revealed to the Master
of the Messengers, Muhammad (saw) by Allah
(swt). However, in order for the West to
assert the so-called superiority of what
it arrogantly calls its 'civilisation',
it has tried to mix Islam with non-Islam,
thus taking away this fundamental quality
of Islam. This mixing has led to a dilution
of Islam and in particular its creed. There
are many ways in which this is done. One
avenue has been by resurrecting the notion
of 'Abrahamic faiths' by asserting that
Islam is one branch of the religion of Ibrahim
(as) and that it is the same as Christianity
and Judaism. This notion, as well as reducing
Islam to the status of a mere religion among
religions, suggests that there is a unity
of religions and that the peoples of all
faiths should stand side-by-side with one
another against terror.
The correct Islamic
view on this is that Islam is the Haq -
everything other than Islam is batil (falsehood).
Indeed it is a part of the Iman of the Muslims
to believe in the truthfulness of Islam
alone.
Allah (swt) says:
"Ibrahim
was neither a Jew nor a Christian, but he
was one who truly submitted (Musliman) (to
Allah's will)." [TMQ Ale-Imran: 67]
And Allah (swt) said:
"And
whosoever seeks a Deen other than Islam,
it will never be accepted of him."
[TMQ Ale-Imran: 85]
"You
cannot find people who believe in Allah
and the Last Day that love anyone who contends
against Allah and His Apostle." [TMQ
Al-Mujadila: 22]
Allah (swt) also
exposes the true intentions of the Kuffar
when He (swt) said:
"Never
will the Jews or the Christians be pleased
with you till you follow their religion."
[TMQ Al-Baqarah: 120]
From this, Allah
(swt) has laid down the clear foundation
of the relationship between Islam and other
religions and doctrines. This foundation
is that Islam and Kufr will never mix under
any circumstances whatsoever.
Another way in which
they have sought to dilute Islam is to reinterpret
its ayat (verses), until Islam is stripped
of its uniqueness as an ideology and a system,
and instead becomes a religion akin to Christianity
or Judaism. Deviated government scholars
in the Muslim world and the West stand side-by-side
with priests and rabbis and with the Western
leaders claiming that Jihad is a struggle
against oneself, even though it has been
mentioned on over 120 occasions in the Qur'an
to be fighting (Qitaal). They are at pains
to point out that Islam is peace at a time
when Western fundamentalism is allowed to
unleash its wrath upon the Muslims and is
beyond reproach.
Allah (swt) says
in the Qur'an,
"And
mix not truth with falsehood, nor conceal
the truth while you know (the truth)"
[TMQ Al-Baqarah: 42]
The Muslims in the
West need to grab hold to the truthfulness
and indeed superiority of Islam. In their
pursuit for justice, neither should they
try to change Islam or present Islam in
a manner that is agreeable to the Kuffar. |
|
| 2. |
The
Kuffar have been astonished by the way Muslims
feel a close affinity with one another -
Muslims as far apart as Nigeria and Indonesia
came out in protest at the attacks on the
Muslims of Afghanistan. This is evidence,
if evidence were needed, that the Muslims
regard themselves as one Ummah and pay little
credence to the false borders carved through
the midst of the Islamic Ummah. Allah (swt)
says,
"The believers
are nothing else than brothers" [TMQ
Al-Hujurat: 10].
The Messenger of
Allah (saw) said: "The Muslim is the
brother of another Muslim, he does not do
injustice to him nor desert him."
The astonishment
of the Kuffar has led to a jealousy that
leads them to strike at this unity. Thus
we hear the constant sermons of Western
leaders in which they proclaim that there
are moderates and fundamentalists, modernists
and terrorists from amongst the ranks of
the Muslims. These camps are conveniently
used to break this unity.
It is obligatory
on the Muslims at this time to stand shoulder
to shoulder in one line facing the challenges
that confront them. It is not allowed for
the Muslim to disown his brother or snub
him so as to remove the suspicion from himself
and gain the love of the disbelievers. It
is also not allowed for the Muslims to forsake
their brothers even if their opinions, schools
of thought, trends of thinking and movements
are different - we should not forget that
the attack is directed against the Muslims;
no Muslim is safe from it and no group is
safe. |

| 3. |
Around
the world the Ummah is realising that they
will never live with justice unless they
live under the shade of the Islamic rule.
This realisation has led many sincere Muslims
to work for Islam to return in state and
society. The West have long ago realised
this sentiment - indeed they were the ones
who destroyed the Islamic Khilafah seventy-seven
years ago and established in its place weak
states, as well as appointing subservient
agent rulers. Today the claim is made that
the return to an Islamic rule would lead
to backwardness and anarchy. Thus they dismiss
this call, and instead ask the Muslims to
concentrate upon partial solutions, and
a continued reliance upon the West.
The Ummah must resist
accepting such a call. Furthermore, it must
be understood that it is the Khilafah that
will implement Islam, and without it, it
would be impossible for the society to adhere
to all of the laws of Islam. The implementation
of Islam is not merely a few laws related
to punishments. Islam, as a Deen revealed
by the Creator (swt), deals with all of
life's problems. Islam deals with wealth
creation and circulation, through a detailed
economic system; it has a social system
that regulates the relation between men
and women, and that provides harmony in
society; it establishes justice by a judicial
system that does not allow the rich and
famous to secure acquittals by virtue of
their wealth and status. The derivation
of these systems relies solely upon the
texts of the Qur'an and Sunnah and what
has been indicated by them. Sadly these
systems are not implemented today, because
the world is without the Khilafah State.
|
|
It was through the implementation of these systems
by the Khilafah State that a glorious and rich
Islamic treasure of Fiqh (jurisprudence) was created
that allowed the Muslims to progress in all fields
and created a civilisation that was free from
the shackles of colonialism. This state allowed
society to progress without leading to corruption
and raised the intellectual abilities of man,
without creating arrogance around the world. Indeed,
the world today needs the Khilafah.
At a time when the Kuffar have launched a relentless
campaign against Islam and its adherents there
are some from amongst the Muslims who out of despair
for the resumption of the victories of Islam have
become despondent - and such despondency has led
them to resign themselves to the humiliating situation
the Ummah finds herself in. Now is the time for
such despondency to be done away with and for
the Western thoughts and culture to be uprooted,
for truth is on the side of the Muslims and Allah's
(swt) promise is with the believers. Allah (swt)
says:
"So do not become weak (against
your enemy), nor be sad, and you will be superior
(in victory) if you are indeed (true) believers."
[TMQ Ale-Imran: 139]
O Muslims!
The West mock and scorn
at the Ummah, humiliate her sincere sons, corrupt
her societies, plunder her treasures, kill the
innocent and challenge the Muslims day and night
in their Aqeedah. While the Crusades of the past
were aimed at occupying parts of the Islamic lands,
today's Crusade launched against Islam and the
Muslims aims to subvert Islam by making Muslims
reject their creed and embrace the creed of secularism
which calls for the separation of Deen from life,
which means to keep Islam completely away from
their lives such that nothing remains of it but
spiritualistic rituals conducted in the places
of worship.
In such circumstances, the necessity of carrying
the Islamic call and spreading Islam in the Western
countries has become more apparent today than
ever before. The burden of the entire world weighs
down heavily on the shoulders of the Muslims since
they are the ones who Allah (swt) charged with
looking after the affairs of the whole of mankind.
Every single Muslim should speak according to
his knowledge and ability and declare the batil
as batil and recognise and call to the Haq, as
it is indeed the Haq.
In order to thwart the treacherous designs of
this campaign, Islam obliges you to wake up and
realise the reality behind what the Kuffar and
their followers are plotting, to defend your creed,
your Deen, and your existence as an Ummah and
to take a courageous stance by raising the word
of Allah (swt) to the Highest and to work with
the sincere ones who work for the true political
change in the Islamic world - that is the re-establishment
of the Khilafah state.
Allah (swt) said, "Do not
fear them and fear Me if you are true believers."
[TMQ Ale-Imran: 175]
